St Andrews Night Celebration 2008
The Club's St Andrews Night Dinner took place in the function room of the Vale of Leven Bowling Club on Friday 28 November 2007 when members and guests celebrated our Patron Saint and Scotland.
An excellent meal, once again provided by by Venue Caterers, was served before President Ian Collins introduced his top table guests. The Toast to our Toon - the Vale of Leven - was proposed by Bob Wyllie and the Toast to Scotland by club member John Doran. Both the speeches were well received by the members and guests.
Sangs and Clatter were provided by Tom McRae and Willlie Murray supplemented by another debutant, David Collins, our chairman Ian's brother. Davie was very well received by the audience and we will no doubt see him back again in the future. Chairman Ian Collins provided his normal entertaining performance interspersing his introductions to the artists with stories delivered in his own inimitable way.
The evening concluded with a vote of thanks from Ian and the company singing Auld Lang Syne.
